If you attend the Open Day at Kensington Gardens Lifestyle Estate on October 13 you could go into the running for a five day holiday in Fiji.

Can you imagine yourself relaxing by the pool at a luxury Fijian resort sometime in the next six months?

Well this opportunity could be yours with a $5000 Fijian holiday up for grabs at the Kensington Gardens Open Day on October 13.

This year if you attend the open day, have a chat to residents and put your name in the box it could be you that jets off to Fiji for a five day holiday.

“The chances of winning this could be pretty good,” said estate manager Tony Lieschke.

“We don’t know how many people will turn up on the day so if it’s not very many the odds could be pretty high!”

The prize includes return economy airfares for two people from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane and five nights accommodation at the Fiji Marriot Resort Momi Bay for two people, twin share.

A buffet breakfast is included daily, there’s a day tour thrown in as well as transfers to and from the airport.

There are a few conditions of course.

The holiday is valid for travel between now and March 1 next year and has to be booked by October 31, 2018.

The Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay is situated on the Coral Coast and offers five-star amenities and warm genuine service. Located near Nadi, Fiji and perched on the azure waters of Momi Bay, the hotel is said to be the ultimate island retreat.

Nearby attractions include the The Garden of the Sleeping Giant which contains a vast collection of 30 to 40 varieties of magnificent Asian orchids and Cattleya hybrids which was once the private collection of the late American actor Raymond Burr.

Now open to the public, the garden is a wonderful spot to spend a day just wandering along the canopy-covered boardwalk, through gorgeously landscaped lawns, across calm lily ponds complete with trickling fountains and croaking frogs and finally into the heart of a dense rainforest.

But the highlight of the tour has to be the orchids themselves. Carefully tended and well displayed, these fragile flowers are beautiful when seen in the golden light of early morning.

The Sabeto Hot Spring and Mud Bath, the Port Denarau Marina and the Natadola Golf Course are also nearby.
