The Thurgoona-based facility was successful in round two of the Stronger Communities Fund as part of a $1.9 million boost for the Albury region to breathe new life into sporting projects.
AWEA President Donna Michael thanked all the supporters who had voted for the project to be included in the funding round and those who assisted with developing the grant application.
The fund aims to invest in infrastructure projects in regional NSW communities to improve the lives of residents and enhance the attractiveness of these areas as vibrant places to live and work.
