In his first season at the club, Curtis polled 137 votes to win by 38 from defender Nick Meredith.
Curtis, who joined Lavington from Canberra club Ainslie this season, starred in the midfield with his kicking skills making him one of the most dangerous players in the competition.
Brant Dickson was named most courageous.
Ethan Bakic took out the reserves from Alex McMaster while Clayton Marsh won from Darcy Smith in the under-18s.
Sarah Meredith was successful in A-grade netball on 43 votes, with Rhiannon Dolahenty second on 39.
Shooter Sarah Senini was awarded life membership.
