McDiarmid, the hot favourite heading into the presentation, won the award from Amy Martin.
City coach Robert Brown commended McDiarmid on her brilliant campaign.
“Bridget had an outstanding season as she has done the last couple of years,” Brown said.
“She’s an amazing girl both on and off the park.
“The players know better than anyone else who steps up and delivers, her efforts were well and truly recognised by the playing group as well.”
McDiarmid and a number of her teammates will feature in the AWFA Ladies Select side in a highly-anticipated clash against Calder United on Saturday.
David Samiec took out City’s senior men’s award, while Tylar Young was players’ player.
