Miles was traded from Richmond on Monday, along with Cory Ellis and a future third round pick to Gold Coast, in exchange for a future third round pick from the Suns.
It came on the same day the Tigers officially landed Gold Coast star Tom Lynch.
After joining Richmond from GWS, Miles played 60 matches at Punt Road and this year won the JJ Liston trophy as the VFL’s best and fairest player.
He played just one AFL match this season.
“Anthony and Corey played well above VFL level this year and we understand their desire to seek new opportunities,” Richmond’s general manager of football Neil Balme said.
“Milesy is the ultimate professional and has given our football club wonderful service over the past five years.
“At just 21 years old, Corey is a talented footballer and has a bright future ahead of him.
"We wish them the best of luck at the Gold Coast and thank them for their time at Richmond."
The Suns’ general manager – list and strategy – Craig Cameron was thrilled to secure Miles’ signature.
"Anthony has proven his ability at the top level and we’re excited by the opportunity to add him to our midfield group,” Cameron said of the 26-year-old.
“He joins the club fresh from winning the 2018 JJ Liston Trophy as the VFL’s best and fairest player after a season in which he averaged 28.6 disposals and 7.7 clearances, 4.2 tackles each game.
“We’ve said that were keen to target players who are looking for greater opportunity, are of great character and are keen to help drive our club forward, Corey and Anthony fit that perfectly.”
