Jess Naismith's sweet macarons pay homage to times gone by.
Think Redskins, Wagon Wheels and Iced VoVos.
Raised at Cobram, Jess said flavours of her youth inspired her creations.
“Growing up I liked going to the pool and getting Redskins afterwards,” she said.
“Otherwise Mum might give us money to go to the corner store. My brothers and sisters and I would take an hour to choose 50 cents worth of lollies from the glass cabinet!”
Now a mum herself to Cooper, 6, and Charlotte, 4, with partner Luke O’Brien, Jess launched her Miss Macaron brand on Facebook about four years ago.
She was also a regular at farmers’ markets throughout the Border.

“I just needed more space for the business.”
Jess started baking at the kitchen of Wodonga Bowling Club about six weeks ago.
She makes about 10 different flavours of macarons a week from her repertoire of more than 50. For the record, Redskin is the most popular while chocoholics love Snickers.
She will be at the QEII Square Twilight Market on Thursday, October 11, and is also a regular at the On The Border Community Market.
