Mauro Felipe Farfan-Leal hit 202km/h at Woomargama on September 17 about 10pm.
“I only did it for five seconds,” he said of the speed.
Farfan-Leal was rushing to Canberra from Melbourne to start a new job in the morning.
His Volkswagen was taken to Holbrook and parked at a service station, and police said he couldn't drive for six months.
But he was again spotted driving at 11.30pm and was taken into custody at Albury Police Station.
Magistrate Rodney Brender added three months to his driving ban on Monday with a $550 fine.
“Don’t drive while you’re disqualified or there will be further problems, alright?” Mr Brender said.
