The duo were recognised for outstanding seasons during the Capital League club’s presentation dinner at the Albion Hotel on Friday night.
After finishing second to Joe Forster for Hockey Albury-Wodonga’s division one men’s top award, Jones went one better with the Spitfires.
Rising star Oscar Smart finished runner-up.
James Towne was named Rookie of the Year, while Larry Simpson was top goal-scorer.
Sutherland’s consistency for the Spitfires women’s side saw her edge out Samantha Campbell for the team’s top honour.
Campbell missed the last seven games of the season after requiring finger surgery, but still managed to win the Peter McNally Memorial Award as the best goalkeeper in the Capital League.
The women’s Rookie of the Year winner was Hayley Hutchinson, while Chloe Jones and Summer Sutherland shared the leading goal-scorer award.
A number of player milestones were also recognised on the night, including 150 games for men’s co-coach Jeremy Payne, while both Tim and Chloe Jones played their 100th.
Joshua MacVean, Leigh Foulston, Fenn Dawson, Andrew Monte, Grace Ronnfeldt and women’s co-captain Samantha Daly all reached 50 games.
