TWO burglary attempts have been foiled by members of the public in Yarrawonga.

Police were called to homes on Friday morning and later took three people into custody.
Sergeant Ted Graham said the first incident occurred at a home that was under construction about 8am.
“An hour later, there was an attempted burglary at another residence in Yarrawonga,” he said.
“The victim has come home and seen two people.
“They were preparing to steal items and have left the scene.”
Police arrested one suspect in a car on Belmore Street about 11am.
Two other suspects were arrested a short time later.
Sergeant Graham said it appeared that power tools and fishing equipment had been targeted.
One person has been charged and released on bail with enquiries pending.
