In the final piece of the Hume league’s coaching jigsaw puzzle, Cat officials made the announcement at their best and fairest count on Saturday night.
I’d say he’s definitely got unfinished business
- Jason Gooden
Rava has taken the club into the finals in his three years at the helm, including the 2017 premiership, with club president Jason Gooden saying he had unfinished business.
“He works extremely well with the younger players and, with our under-17s winning the flag this year, he’s keen to bring that next group through,” Gooden said.
“I’d say he’s definitely got unfinished business.
“We’re really happy with the job he’s doing.”
Osborne is set to regain key position duo George Alexander and Andrew Clarke from knee injuries for next season with officials hopeful of retaining its key players.
Promising youngster Connor Galvin was successful in the senior best and fairest count with 44 votes, with Rava (40) and Marty Bahr (38) rounding out the top three.
Angus Malmo won the reserves, Eddie O’Connell took out the thirds and Charlie Douglas saluted in the fourths.
League Rising Star winner Courtney Menzies was successful in A-grade netball.
