Prior, who kicked 514 goals for North Albury, Wodonga Raiders and Lavington, has signed with the Lions along with former Hopper teammate and Murray Magpies defender Trent Logue.
Culcairn coach Josh Hillary described the recruiting coup as massive for the club.
“You would have to check with people at Culcairn but I’d say it would be one of the biggest signings the club has had,” Hillary said.
“He’s played a lot of good footy in the Ovens and Murray and is going to give us some real firepower up forward which we lacked towards the end of the year due to a few injuries and inaccuracy at times.
“Adam's had a lot of interest from other clubs and we’re rapt he decided to choose us.”
Logue spent four seasons at Culcairn earlier in his career and was a key factor in Prior joining the Hume league club.
Prior won the Doug Strang Medal in 2007, 2009, 2013 and 2015.
He kicked 37 goals in 14 matches for Lavington this season including a five-goal bag against premier Albury in round 18.
“I just think he’s a proven goalkicker and will straighten us up,” he said.
“Dennis Pedemont played for us this year and was tremendous and Jamie Robbins has been really good as well.
“Adam is going to add to the group.
“Talking to the Lavi guys, once he commits he really buys into the club.”
Logue joins Culcairn after four years at Urana Road Oval and is set to strengthen Culcairn’s defence across half-back.
Former junior Shaun Turvey has returned following two premierships with Leitchville-Gunbower in the Heathcote District Football League.
He also had a stint with Corowa-Rutherglen.
“We’re really happy to have Shaun and Trent back and Adam sign up as well,” Culcairn president Brendan Sheather said.
“We targeted certain areas and are happy how it’s panned out.
“Kids like Riley Knobel, Oscar Willis and Rory Jenkins had a taste of it this year and will be in the mix as well.”
