TWO men have been charged after a vehicle on a trailer was filmed doing a burnout while being towed on the Hume Freeway last year.

The Holden Commodore was being towed, possibly to the Winton Performance Car Mania event, last September.
A 19-year-old Patterson Lakes man who allegedly filmed the incident while driving in the emergency lane has been charged with two counts of reckless conduct endangering persons and traffic offences.
The incident came to police attention when the footage was posted on social media.
A 28-year-old man from Carrum Downs, who was allegedly a passenger in the burnout car, has been charged with two counts of reckless conduct endangering life.
A man could be seen hanging out the side of the maroon vehicle, waving their hands.
Both men will appear before Benalla Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Police are still trying to identify the other people involved in the incident, including the Commodore driver.
The person towing the car and trailer also hasn't been identified.
The incident is being investigated by members of the Benalla Highway Patrol.
Senior Sergeant Ash Mason told The Border Mail after the incident it was “extremely disturbing and concerning behaviour which endangers themselves and other road users”.
Police are continuing to seek witnesses to the incident.
