The Wodonga pace bowler has just returned from the national under 17 titles in Queensland, where he claimed five wickets at 25.
“He did really well, he’s only fairly new to cricket, soccer has been his major interest from a sport perspective,” Victoria Country coach Graeme Rummans said.
“There’s just a little bit of inconsistency with his action at the moment, some erratic bowling, but he’s certainly got the right attitude and he’s pretty keen, so I’m sure he’ll put the hard work in.”
Lee was troubled by shin complaints during the carnival in Queensland, bowling just 28.4 overs in the eight games.
Rummans says it’s a big workload for the fast bowlers with the players also having to deal with the travel as the tournament was based in both Brisbane and Mackay.
“He bowls fast and outswing, that’s a good start, so I think he’s got a fair bit of upside,” Rummans said of the tall quick.
