Hungarian fried bread with smoked salmon, sour cream and red onion
Ingredients
1 x shop bought sliced smoked salmon
1 x sour cream
1 x finely diced red onion
1 x large desiree potato
105g plain flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon olive oil or vegetable oil
1½ teaspoon dried yeast
62ml full cream milk
Method
Peel and boil potato till tender, strain and mash.
Place the potato, yeast, sugar, flour, oil, salt and milk into a medium mixing bowl KitchenAid.
Using the hook attachment, mix the ingredients for 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
Transfer to a greased bowl, cover and let rise until doubled.
Place mixture into a piping bag and fry in vegetable oil at 180 degrees till golden brown and cooked inside.
Once slightly cooled top with smoked salmon, sour cream and diced red onion.
