Junior product Jake Sharp will coach the club at senior level, taking over from co-mentors Terry Burgess and Tim Looby.

Meanwhile former coach Leigh Corcoran claimed the reserves’ top gong from Jeremy Schifferle.

The Saints didn’t field an under 18 team last season due to a shortage of numbers but, in terrific news for the club and league, they will in 2019.

Meantime in A grade netball, Saige Broz claimed the top gong.

Broz grabbed 46 votes to win from Louisa Harrington (42), Rhiannon McIlroy (38), Grace Taberner (32) and Grace McKerral (22).

The Saints posted three wins and a draw to finish second-last, improving on last year’s wooden spoon with just the one win.

In the other grades, former A grade and interleague star Rebecca Piazza snared 41 votes to win B grade from Bridget Flint-Chapman (26).

Hannah Maslin (41) won the C grade from Aleesha Kennedy (39) and Tara Breen (59) also posted a narrow win at 16 and under level.
