The Australian Eight Ball Championships have attracted around 240 players from every State and territory.
“It’s a very high standard, the calibre of the players here is excellent,” Federation president Doug Percy said.
“The object is to pot the seven coloured balls (either yellow or red) that you’re on, so if you’re on yellow you pot them and then the eight ball (which is black), so you win the game.”
There’s a host of world-class performers at the titles, including Tasmanian Wayne Stubbs, who won the World Masters singles crown in 2016.
South Australia’s Lyndal Vine is world number three.
Albury’s Commercial Club are hosting the titles.
