In his past off seasons at the Roar, Aloisi has had to handle off-field drama and on-field injury woes, hampering his team's ability to hit the ground running.

The club is happily settled into a new training facility south of Brisbane and landed new recruits such as Adam Taggart, Stefan Mauk and ex-Danish international Tobias Mikkelsen early in the pre-season.

With everything nice and settled, Aloisi is confident his team will start their season firing against Central Coast on Sunday at Suncorp Stadium.

"This is by far the best and most stable off-season that I've had," Aloisi told AAP.

"In all three previous pre-seasons there's always been some issue.

"This is the fittest we've been and we're really happy with the way we've shaped up this pre-season. Normally when you have a really good pre-season, you have a good season."

Sunday's opponents have had an off-season that's been all about the arrival of legendary Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt on a trial.

Away from the Bolt focus, former Roar coach Mike Mulvey has recruited smartly for last year's wooden-spooners.

Ross McCormack has signed on loan from English Championship club Aston Villa while former Socceroo Tommy Oar is another acquisition.

The Roar though head into the clash with an exemplary record over the Mariners having won 10 and drawn two of their past 12 clashes.

"Probably the chemistry still needs to get there because McCormack and Tommy Oar arrived a little bit later," Aloisi said.

"They probably won't be gelling as well as they would like in the first round but they've still got dangerous players and we just have to be aware."
