With a side made up predominantly of Corowa-Rutherglen players, Roos defeated Melbourne side Sharks 18-9 in the B-grade grand final at Lauren Jackson Sports Centre on Sunday.

“They did a great job.
“We only lost one game and it was good to turn that around in the final.”
Senior, Sophie Hanrahan, Olivia Sinclair, Brooke Bice, Ella Kingston, Steph Clancy, Jenni Vine and Sharna Holland played for Roos.
Corowa-Rutherglen had players in five sides in the classic.
In C grade, Melbourne side Zanners Wite sprung a surprise by defeating Wodonga Bulldogs 8-2.

Fifty teams took part in the classic with organiser Trish Cerminara saying the standard was extremely high.
