Located at Dean Street's western end, The Circuit Sports Cafe opened on March 22, 2018 in style with iconic Australian and swimming champion Dawn Fraser doing the honours.
And it has continued to serve up authentic sports-style cafe food ever since.
Co-owners Michael French and Anthony Clark said they have purposely established The Circuit as a venue perfect for all ages, lovers of all sport, and a space for "fantastic" themed functions.
Mr French established and runs QManhattans with his wife Emma, while Mr Clark has more than 25 years' experience in large-scale sporting event management and brand activation.
“The Circuit is very much a community-friendly venue aimed at adult and junior patrons in a non-pub or club environment,” Mr French said.
Walk into The Circuit Sports Cafe and you're sure to notice the bright, open, big space full of memorabilia, unique sporting items and the welcoming, comfortable environment.
“It’s all well and good to have an amazing venue, but great well-priced food is absolutely key to our business,” Mr Clark said.
The Circuit employs two full-time chefs who cook all day and the menu is extensive without being over the top or too complicated.
“Feedback from our customers has been fantastic, they all love the venue but the food comments have been overwhelming,” Mr French said.
He said pricing was great too, with the most expensive item at just $16.50 for an awesome burger and chips.
Staff functions, work parties, social club gatherings and club fundraisers are all very popular events at The Circuit Sports Cafe.
“The Circuit Sports Cafe is the ultimate function space and we have had everything from 7th birthday parties to full-on 150-person corporate functions," Mr Clark said.
The Circuit has function catering packages ranging in price from $15 per person and the venue can cater for big and small groups in either private or open formats.
Audio visual equipment allows for personalised images, music and branding throughout the venue.
Function clients are also welcome to dress up the venue accordingly with balloons, table settings and other function-specific items.
“We are pretty excited about Christmas party season – bookings are already rolling in so it's a good idea to book ahead,” Mr French said.
