The writer of more than 200 books, including Diary of a Wombat, French is leading two sessions in Yackandandah Health’s community celebration on November 10.
As someone who has learned to live with dyslexia, she is keen to support parents to recognise reading problems in their children.

Yackandandah Health chief executive Annette Nuck said she was delighted to welcome the author, a strong advocate for the environment, community, the aged and literacy.
“Jackie is on the Q&A panel for our Friday forum on ageing well and is looking forward to interacting with people of all ages at our community celebration on the Saturday,” she said.
The community celebration runs from 9am to 2.30pm at Yackandandah Health, 20 Isaacs Avenue.
Activities include music, children’s games and entertainment, a petting zoo, health and wellbeing talks and food.
