The Age-Friendly Northeast Victoria Housing Forum aims to tackle questions like: What can we do to enable us to stay at home? What will happen if I don’t own my own home? How can we trust age care facilities?.
Panellists include Dr Kathleen Brasher, of Age-Friendly Northeast Victoria, Beechworth Health Service chief executive Mark Ashcroft, Yackandandah Health chief executive Annette Nuck and Department of Health and Human Service’s Simon Aldous.

Margaret Bennett, chief executive of Northeast Health Wangaratta, part of the age-friendly rural communities initiative, said many people would live 20 years beyond retirement age.
“To ensure those years are productive, healthy and full of purpose, the community, all the services, government and business, all need to work together,” she said.
