Mr Moss has beaten Liberal, Labor and independent candidates into the election battleground ahead of the poll in March.
“I’ve been interested in politics for a very long time and only the Greens share the same ideals as I do which are about improving the conditions for people in society,” he said.
“It is across the board and whether that is people who live in town here or out in rural communities where I work.
“That is my strongest passion.”
The legal and business studies teacher has been a Greens member for about five years.
“There were other parties I showed interest in, but as things progressed, particularly on LGBT issues, I saw how unsupportive Labor and Liberal governments were,” he said.
“It was the Greens who always pioneered that sort of thing so I knew they were right for me.”
