Riders are travelling through the region for the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Philip Island.
Officers in Wangaratta and Wodonga are taking part in the operation, with many riders expected to travel through Alpine areas to attend the annual event.
The operation will start on Thursday and run until next Wednesday.
Motorbikes are over-represented in road trauma compared to cars.
