The line-up from November 16 to 18 includes Turkish-Australian soprano Ayse Goknur Shanal, dynamic chamber ensembles, pianists and a world premiere performance of a new piano trio by Border composer Gordon Kerry.
NSW Governor, His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley, will be the guest of honour for the opening day concerts, featuring the Flinders Quartet, Orpheus Piano Trio, Shanal and Albury pianist Helena Kernaghan.
Kernaghan, who is also festival artistic director, welcomed the quality program.
“The Albury Chamber Music Festival is an initiative of the St Matthew’s Music Association Inc and aims to bring quality chamber music, performed by some of Australia’s leading chamber musicians, to the city of Albury,’’ she said.
The Firebird Trio will perform Kerry’s Piano Trio No 3 to wrap up the festival.
