Ross Circuit Preschool children have been visiting UPA Murray River every fortnight for about four years, sharing games, songs and friendship with a different generation.
Educator Nicole Parker said the regular trips provided an opportunity many of the youngsters would otherwise lack.

“They haven’t got grandparents around so we’re able to take them to the UPA where they can interact with older people in the community,” she said.
“They’re quite similar activities to what we do here, they play quoits with the residents, they have play dough out as well.
“The children will go up and they’ll give the residents a hug, they’re quite welcoming, it’s lovely.”
UPA residents enjoyed the visits too while walking to the centre also helped the preschoolers learn about road rules and safety.
“We take 10 different children each time so that all the children get a turn,” Mrs Parker said.
