Rocky Pereira, 36, allegedly used an accelerant to set fire to an electrical room next to RM Fresh on Stanley Street on July 16, causing about $150,000 in damage to the cafe, plus further costs for adjoining businesses.
Pereira wore a white shirt and tie as he appeared in Wodonga Magistrates Court yesterday to face the charges, but did not say anything during the brief committal mention.
He will remain free on bail until the case returns to court on December 13.
