Council chief executive Brendan McGrath joined other mayors and CEOs to meet with Indi MP Cathy McGowan on Friday.
“While there are still areas that need improved mobile phone coverage, places such as Edi Upper, Eldorado, Myrrhee and Moyhu now have new towers,” Ms McGowan said.
“The Victorian Government has confirmed funding for towers at Warby Ranges, Carboor and Cheshunt South.”
Wangaratta Council also discussed progress on projects including its 50-metre outdoor pool, splash area and hydrotherapy pool project.
“Having discussions with local governments together twice a year ensures mayors and CEOs are aware of funding opportunities and the assistance available for their applications,” Ms McGowan said.
“It is a delight to hear about the many projects happening around Indi that have direct benefits for communities.”
