THE recently opened United service station on McKoy Street and the APCO service station on Moorefield Park Drive are offering significantly lower fuel prices compared to their counterparts elsewhere in Wodonga.

According to the RACV's fuel price indicator, unleaded petrol at APCO would set you back between 131.3 and 136.3 cents per litre on Tuesday.
The new United outlet is not yet listed on the RACV website, but their unleaded price on Tuesday was a similarly low 132.9 cents per litre.
The already established United on Melrose Drive, whose price does not appear on the RACV website, was 132.9 c/l.
Prices at APCO and United compared favourably to those at BP, Caltex/Woolworths and Coles Express stations around Wodonga.
According to the RACV’s fuel price index, other stations in Wodonga were offering unleaded petrol for between 151.3 and 156.3 c/l.
United and APCO’s price for unleaded is the lowest on both sides of the Border, with the NRMA’s Fuel Check showing prices in Albury and Lavington as high as 160.9 c/l at the BP North Albury Truckstop.
The average price of unleaded in NSW on Tuesday was 151.2 c/l.
Average prices, while still high, have been gradually falling over the last few weeks since peaking in late October.
After metropolitan prices hit a peak of 167.2c/l in Melbourne on October 24, they have dropped by more than 10 cents per litre, according to the RACV.
There has been a similar trend observed in NSW, according to the NRMA.
After peaking at 161.3 c/l on October 20, the average price statewide also dropped by 10 cents, to 151.2 c/l on Tuesday.
