Kicking off with the Celtic Concert Spectacular at the Old Beechworth Gaol on Friday night, featuring Damien Leith, Eric Bogle and Claymore, this year's festival will look to build on some changes made last year that altered the formula a little bit.
Organising committee chairman John Costello said tickets for both days of the festival were selling fast.
“The weather forecast has things clearing up a bit, so it looks like it’ll be a good weekend,” he said.
“It was pretty hot last year, so hopefully the cooler weather will bring a few more people with it.
“The tattoo last year was very successful, and tickets for that and our new Friday night concert are selling quickly which is good.”
The Beechworth Old Goal Tattoo returns for a second year, having grown in stature after last year’s success.
There will be other performances at pubs, halls and hotels throughout the town all weekend as well.
Tickets are available at the festival website.
