An expansion and renovation project is set to give Jacob Hino Wodonga that modern edge.
The work under way at the premises will result in a modern showroom and service centre facilities being opened.
It will also house additional businesses that are part of the Jacob group of companies – those including Hertz, Regional Ag & Construction, Autotek Australia and Tint a Car, which will relocate from Melbourne Road to the new building on Melrose Drive.
Managing director Neville Jacob said the new-concept showroom would feature a central reception servicing all businesses to maximise the customer experience. The customer lounge would provide access to hospitality facilities including free wifi.
"With the continued growth of the transport and construction industries in the local area it has come time for Jacob Hino to expand on their current location," Mr Jacob said.
There will also be a convenient driver rest area, including shower facilities and kitchenette so that drivers will be able to freshen up and have a comfortable space to rest in while their vehicle is being serviced.
The Jacob group of companies opened the Jacob Hino franchise back in 1991. It services a catchment area from Wagga through to Melbourne.
"All staff are highly trained to Hino Australia standards, and general manager Shane Fifield has 27-plus years experience in the industry," Mr Jacob said.
Jacob Hino was awarded Regional Bronze Excellence for Sales; Regional Gold Excellence for Service and Regional Bronze Excellence For Parts in the Hino Australia National awards in 2016.
With the newly renovated building, the team is confident that business will continue to create growth within the local area.
The company is able to carry out road worthies, wheel alignments and servicing of any make and model of truck or bus. Along with the partnership with Border Fabrications, they can complete VASS certifications for heavy vehicles that have been modified, imported or individually constructed.
With construction nearing completion, the grand opening is set to be scheduled for early December.
