St Anne’s Primary School athlete Kijana McCowan and St Patrick’s Holbrook student Scarlett Galvin took on the top competitors in the state at the NSW PSSA Athletics Championships at Olympic Park in Sydney.
McCowan claimed the silver medal in the girls 10 years high jump, leaping 1.44m.
She also made the finals of the long jump and placed fifth.

Galvin took home a silver medal in the girls 11 years high jump with an effort of 1.48m.
Meanwhile, Finley Public School’s Sienna Burke, who has recently started training at Albury, won bronze in the 12-13 years high jump, clearing 1.55m.
All three will represent NSW at national level at Melbourne’s Lakeside Stadium from November 23 to 27.
