The Lavington quick took 5-36 in a superb performance as Newcastle made 9-253 off 50 overs.
Wodonga’s Cameron Suidgeest also bowled well, taking 3-45.
But Riverina came up well short with the bat, being bundled out for a meagre 101 runs in 32.2 overs by a sharp Newcastle attack.
Brayden Ambler (39) and Nathan Brown (17) were best for Riverina.
Riverina coach Trent Ball said his side let themselves down with the bat.
“I thought 253 was a par score,” Ball said.
“We bowled really well, particularly Ryan Brown and Cameron Suidgeest early, but unfortunately we couldn’t back it up.
“Drew Cameron was a bit unlucky being run out off a bowler’s hand and we fell away a bit.
“Hopefully we can bounce back straight away.”
