FIREFIGHTERS have saved a Wodonga workshop from disaster after the car two men were working on caught fire on Saturday afternoon.

After attempting to douse the blaze themselves, the men called triple zero, whereupon Wodonga firefighters arrived to find the car they were working on fully alight.
The Trafalgar Street workshop was saved, with only some minor smoke damage to speak of.
Several other vehicles in the workshop were also unscathed as a result of the fire.
