Belvoir’s Lee Tyrell passed 21 for the first time, posting an impressive 67 against the Bushies’ impressive attack.
“He batted really well, he came in at 3-8,” Armstrong said.
“He put his head down and did the job, I don’t think he gave any chances.”
And Armstrong said the Englishman also combined power with precision.
“He hit one big six on the roof, which stopped the game as we went to get the ball,” he laughed.
“He hit through the line and played a good sensible innings.”
Tyrell has had a tough time in the T20 games, scoring one against North Albury and a duck against Lavington.
He didn’t bat against East Albury.
At 50-over level, he also didn’t bat against Albury, posted 21 against Wodonga Raiders and a duck against Wodonga.
