Their success follows Albury’s BLR Painting and Decorating taking out best residential repaint under $30,000 at the NSW Master Painters Association presentation the previous weekend.
Hargreaves Joinery account manager Darren Roberts said the kitchen in Northcote, named best new kitchen up to $30,000, was a six-week project in the extension of an existing home.
“It had a wow factor about it, I suppose,” he said.
“It just showcased the whole team, really, it’s not just one person, it’s a team effort.”
B&H Homes director Joshua Baker said the Sandalwood’s win in the display home $300,001-$350,000 section brought success in a price category many families could attain.
“It’s a really intensely competitive field and to win it across the state … is just fantastic,” he said.
BLR Painting and Decorating’s Ben Hickman said his winning repaint involved the exterior and interior of a large two-storey house in Hamilton Valley.
“Everything needed a lot of prep,” he said.
Mr Hickman was also highly commended for a Thurgoona project in the new work single dwelling under $25,000 section.
