Tournament coordinator John Ferguson admitted it was another great week.
“It’s the pinnacle of secondary schools teams events in Australia,” Ferguson said.
“Part of the success is laid at the feet of Albury Tennis Association because they wholeheartedly support it.
“They’re arguably the best courts around and president Ken Wurtz and his committee work extremely hard to make this such an enjoyable experience for the kids.
“They all want to be back here next year.
“Tennis Australia has taken over the running of it and all the managers have stated they don’t want to move from these grass courts because it’s such a wonderful experience for their players to come and play here.”
The winning schools now represent Australia at the International School Sport Federation World Schools Tennis Championship in Castel di Sangro, Italy, from June 2-9, 2019.
