The AWFA export has enjoyed the transition from WNPL outfit South Melbourne to Melbourne City in the past month.
Unfortunately, Blissett will miss tonight’s derby clash against Melbourne Victory through suspension after receiving a red card in City’s 3-1 win over Sydney FC in round two.
Despite the setback, Blissett has made quite the impact, slotting straight into left back for the opening two fixtures.
“I’m settling in really well,” Blissett said.
“Steph Catley got injured, but I have been given the opportunity to play until Steph gets back and I’ve been loving every minute of it.
“Going from Albury to WNPL is a difference, but going from WNPL to W-League is another step up again.
“You’re playing with and against Matildas and international players.
“Everyone expects a lot more from you and you have to hold yourself to a very high standard, but that’s the beauty of it for me.
“I love being in a competitive environment.
“It can initially be intimidating, but once you get used to it, you thrive.”

The 18-year-old moved to Melbourne midway through last year, playing the second half of the season with South Melbourne’s under-19s, before earning the call-up to the seniors this year.
Following a successful campaign, Blissett was invited to trial with City and hasn’t taken a backward step.
“Initially there was 20 girls who trained four or five days a week,” she said.
“Out of all the girls, two of us got chosen and others got offered partial contracts or were train-on players.
“When I got told, I didn’t really believe it at first as it was something I’ve wanted since I was really little.
“It was a bit surreal.”
Blissett is by no means getting complacent in the side and knows she still has plenty to learn.
“My positioning needed a bit of work because they play a different system to what I’m used to,” she said.
“I have to be a lot sharper on the ball, but it’s a really supportive environment and all the girls help me out.
“It took a little while to adjust, it’s not smooth, but it’s a lot better.
“I really want to get more game time and experience, but also want to become a better player.
“I want to step up my game even more and really make a name for myself within the club, so hopefully I get signed again next year.”
Melbourne City currently sits fifth on the ladder and is chasing its fourth straight W-League premiership under Rado Vidosic.
Blissett will be eligible for selection against Perth Glory on November 25.
