La Dolce Vita Festival, King Valley, tix $25
With a perfect weekend of weather predicted, lovers of fine food and wine should look no further than the King Valley this weekend. Ten wineries throughout the region are teaming up for La Dolce Vita Festival on Saturday and Sunday. Festival newcomer King River Estate Wines will boast Italian street food by Sally Lynch of Taste Trekkers, wood-fired pizza from the on-site pizza oven and music by North East artist Liv Cartledge. Brown Brothers will be visited by celebrity chef Adam Liaw, who will offer food and wine pairing masterclasses.
FOND FAREWELL
Monday Saints, Albury SS&A, Saturday 17th, free
For just over five years, the Monday Saints have provided an avenue for local musicians to get up on stage and give live music a crack. The community band, which now has more than 200 people associated with it, is playing its final show this weekend, a love letter to all things Powderfinger. Founded by Adam Pica, the Saints have become a major force in the Border music community, frequently packing out the Albury SS&A. Get on down and send them off in the best way possible.

Indoor plant swap and pot, Junction Place Wodonga, Saturday 9-12
If indoor plants are your passion, Junction Place is the place to be on Saturday morning. Bring your pest-free indoor plants for trade and catch up with your fellow horticultural enthusiasts for a morning of planting and potting. Artist Jo Voight will also be in attendance, giving ideas and tips on how to used recycled materials to make your plants look the best they possibly can. Potting mix and other materials will be supplied, so if you’re looking to spruce up your indoor spaces, this could be the perfect opportunity.
