The Border Mail understands another election campaign has now become the favoured option for Ms McGowan, who won the 2016 poll with an increased majority on her maiden victory in 2013 by less than 500 votes.
Senator McKenzie’s official engagement will be speaking with Business Women Albury-Wodonga members following the federal government’s recent announcement of $3.6 million towards the future female entrepreneur program.
Also, the inaugural Business Wodonga president’s dinner to be held on Friday night with Senator McKenzie as the main speaker is officially a sellout.
The two remaining tickets for the $150 per head event at Miss Amelie restaurant were snapped up on Thursday morning.
Senator McKenzie will join other speakers, Business Wodonga president Graham Jenkin, Wodonga mayor Anna Speedie, Wodonga TAFE chief executive Mark Dixon, Gaza Ridge Barracks base support manager Nicki Curnow and James Trenery from the Victorian Employers' Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the evening event.
