It’s alleged he assaulted a woman in her home on Arunta Place in Springdale Heights hours before the game.
He was arrested at a home in Wodonga and has remained in custody since his extradition back into NSW.
Albury Local Court heard the police case against Maksymow – who is in Junee jail – had almost been completed.
There are only a few items outstanding in the brief of evidence, including some statements.
Maksymow did not appear in person during Tuesday’s mention, but was represented by lawyer Jason Hanke.
The court heard the footballer had a charge of driving while suspended pending and it was unclear how he would plead.
The matter will return to the local court on January 29.
