Police had been chasing the 24-year-old man and 25-year-old woman since they allegedly tried to carjack vehicles on the Lincoln Causeway and BP petrol station on Wodonga Place on Sunday.
A knife was allegedly used to threaten a man at Lavington Square on Monday afternoon before his car was stolen.
Another car was allegedly stolen from a young driver on Federation Way at Springhurst or Wahgunyah about 10.30am on Tuesday, with the victim forced out of the Holden Commodore.
The pair allegedly fled towards Wagga, leading to police pursuits.
Police had spiked the stolen Commodore’s tyres at Henty and arrested the pair as they tried to steal a Mazda BT50 which had been run off the road at Kapooka.
It’s alleged the vehicle was driven at police, which forced them to take evasive action.
Detective Inspector Winston Woodward said it was pleasing no-one had been injured during a high-speed chase.
Tuesday’s car chase hit speeds of about 140km/h.
He said “every (officer) I had available to me at the time” had tried to arrest the pair, which followed an operation to find the wanted pair.
Four cars have been recovered by police in NSW as part of the operation, which also involved Victorian detectives and the police air wing.
“It’s good to get a good result,” Detective Inspector Woodward said.
“I believe that no person was injured as a result of the pursuit and the arrest of this male and female.”
The pair were charged with nine offences and appeared before Wagga Local Court on Wednesday.
Ebony Kelly-Nelder, 25, and Braydon Johnstone, 24, of Wodonga, did not seek bail, which was formally refused.
The charges include aggravated carjacking, common assault and police pursuit.
They will reappear in court on December 5.
Detective Inspector Woodward said other drivers may have dashcam footage which could be useful as part of the police investigation.
He said the matters were not linked to an early morning carjacking involving a shotgun in Orton Place, North Albury, on Sunday morning.
A suspect is still wanted for the incident and police are seeking information.
