HA Accounting won New Firm of the Year and Fast-Growing Firm of the Year at the SMSF and Accounting Awards in Melbourne earlier this month.
Director Zac Hayes, who also won SMSF and Accounting Professional of the Year - Regional, said he was “a bit flabbergasted” by the business being a finalist in 10 categories and winning three.

He thanked all the clients and members of the community for their strong support.
“They’ve really rallied behind what we do and that’s quite a humbling experience to be recognised at state industry level,” he said.
“It’s not just a small start-up anymore, we’ve grown really quickly.”
Mr Hayes praised his colleague Regan Mitchelson, 21, a finalist for Newcomer of the Year in the first year of her career.
“That’s really a testament to how much she’s grown in the position and she’s just kept growing and getting better and better,” he said.
The company includes its accounting arm as well as Limitless Financial Services and a business development section.
“We do a lot of start-ups in business; being a start-up ourselves means that we can really relate to them,” Mr Hayes said.
“We get a client to think about what they’re after now and in retirement, so we’re doing a lot of SMSF (self-managed super funds) and succession planning at the moment as well.”
