In a major setback for the Tallangatta and District league club approaching the Christmas break, it is believed the pair severed ties last week.
Livingstone and club president Raelene Harding could not be contacted for comment.
It is believed the Hoppers are now considering their coaching options with several senior players yet to commit for 2019.
Livingstone, who played his junior football at Tallangatta, has captained the Murray Bushrangers and played for Wodonga Raiders, Port Melbourne, South Adelaide and Wodonga.
He took the Hoppers to eighth in 2017 and fourth this year.
