The Englishman had a stellar season, claiming the league and cup double with Myrtleford, along with the association’s Star Player award.
“Anybody that watched Tom this year will see he’s an exceptional talent and he’s a match-winner,” Murray United coach Elliot Jones said.
“He brings that ability to unlock a defence and can score goals, but he can create them as well.
“We were looking for a player that could bring that sort of game for us.
“With respect to Myrtleford and Tom, we weren’t going to approach him because he still had a league and a cup to win for them (during the season) and so we left him alone.
“He actually contacted myself and wanted to come down and train.”
Jones has been delighted with the classy Youngs.
“The most refreshing thing about Tom is there’s just no fuss,” he said.
“He’s low maintenance and let’s his football do the talking.
“We’ve been really impressed by not only his football, but also his character.”
Youngs polled 27 voters to win the Star Player, despite missing seven matches.
He polled a stunning 19 votes in the final weeks, including five best on grounds in the final seven rounds.
He also claimed Myrtleford’s top award, missing a month with a broken arm.
