The region’s southpaws are banding together after hosting the Riverina Association Championships at Deniliquin.
“We are unique, we try to convince right-handers we are, but we cop flak all the time for that,” president Colin Holdsworth joked.
“You have to see some fun in the game, haven’t you?”
Leeton’s Garry Nolan was crowned Riverina champion, while club-mate Kelvin Green was stableford champion.
Captain John Broster (Wagga Country Club) was also awarded life membership at the annual general meeting.
“We’re hosting a committee meeting this Friday and we’ll be putting together a schedule of events for 2019,” Holdsworth said.
Albury’s Graham Hulm won the world’s amateur left-handed championship in New Zealand in 1983.
