Fire crews were called to Padman Drive about 9pm on Wednesday.
The fire was brought under control without any damage to property.
The incident occurred ahead of hot weather forecast for coming days.
Staff at the Bureau of Meteorology predict maximum temperatures of 37 degrees on Friday and 38 degrees on Saturday.
Maximum temperatures will not drop below 30 degrees until next Friday.
