After defeating Kiewa and Barnawartha-Chiltern in recent weeks, Moran believes the Rangers now have the self-belief to match the best sides in the competition.
“We’re really evenly matched on the ladder and Mount Beauty’s always a good, strong side,” Moran said.
“They have some matchwinning cricketers.
“They cover most bases in the one-day game.
“We’re playing some good cricket too after really hyping ourselves up to play well against the top teams before the Christmas break.”
Mount Beauty opener Dan Saville shapes as a dangerman.
He has made 21, 106 not out, 86 not out, 98 and 57 in his last five innings to lead the association’s run aggregate with 400 runs.
“He’s a handy all-rounder,” Moran said.
“He’s very patient with the bat and ball as he bowls well to his fields.
“They have a number of good players though.”
