The Crows have had a huge response to the Woolworths Blast Program with about 80 youngsters taking part in the junior (five to seven years) and master (seven to 10 years) blasters.
The 12-week program will finish up for the Christmas break at North Street Oval on Friday and resume in early February.
East Albury has five teams in the master blasters while Albury fields a side to make up a six-team competition.
Lavington, New City, St Patrick’s and North Albury also run their own blast programs.
Murray development manager Robbie Mackinlay said CAW clubs had embraced the concept which is designed to develop skills in a fun environment.
“A key principle of the Australian Cricket Pathway is to encourage players to participate at the stage that is appropriate to their ability level,” Mackinlay said.
“East Albury’s entry level numbers should ensure a bright and prosperous future for the club.”
