Staffing changes a matter of principal
A Beechworth school has announced its new principal for 2019 as it prepares to farewell its present leader.
St Joseph’s Primary School, Beechworth, will welcome Carly Avery next year to take over from Kitty Hancock, who has been appointed principal at St Mary’s Primary School, Myrtleford.
The St Joseph’s community plans to say thank-you and goodbye to Mrs Hancock on December 19.
Miss Avery will come to St Joseph’s from St Bernard’s Primary School, Wangaratta.
Her previous leadership positions include deputy principal, Catholic identity leader and learning and teaching leader, as well as working in the Catholic education office in the Northern Territory.

More than 32,000 students have registered to access their VCE study scores and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank when they are released at 7am on Friday.
A secure password has been introduced to the login this year, replacing the PIN used previously.
Students are encouraged to sign up for the results service before Friday at resultsandatar.vic.edu.au.
A VCE student number will be required to register.
