Harry Smith might have received a perfect 50 score in English Extension 2, ranking third in the state – but when it comes to baking he’s sub-par claims his twin Amy.

The duo,both 18 excelled in HSC, Amy receiving two band six results while running her own business, and Harry receiving top band results for nine of his 11 subjects.
The Albury twins, both Trinity Anglican College students, are now facing very different paths – proving there is no one way to succeed.
Harry is hoping to achieve an atar of 98 so he can study law at the Australian National University, while Amy is looking to grow her baking business Crumbs & Co and still not sure if she will attend university.
If decides to, she will attend ANU alongside her brother, studying an arts degree with a focus on history.
For Amy, HSC wasn’t about needing a specific atar, but balancing her business and study commitments.
“It did relieve a lot of the pressure, [not needing atar] but I’ve always been quite driven academically to do really well,” she said.
“In a way it helped, having the business, because I had something I could go home to and say ‘okay well I’ll just leave the school work and do this for a while’ – it just made it a bit more bearable.
“It was also difficult at times because I had to say no to a lot of orders because of trials or exams.
“I think I’ve been pretty self driven in that I know how much time I have to spend to do a really good job on things.”

Harry said there was a healthy competition between the twins, who had many similar subjects.
But at the end of the day, they were very supportive of each other.
“I think having someone to talk to someone who knows what your going through and the stress is really important,” he said.
Harry excelled in both maths and English.
He scored 46 for English Extension 1, 90 for English Advance, 94 in Mathematics and 46 in Mathematics Extension 1.
“I feel really proud knowing all my hard work paid off,” he said.
“I tried to study at least one or two hours every day and then have Fridays off and relax.
“Knowing when to push and when to pull back is really important.”
